We have designed a range of folding solar panel kits which work with a minimal amount of setup and produce reliable power. We don't camp all the time so we have included padded storage bags to protect your solar panels when not in use. They are reliable, durable and produce some power even on those bleak days. Strong aluminium frame with carry handle and latch to stop the panels opening when being carried. 
The range of flat panels also have been selected because of their quality. You will not be disappointed with the quality or the consistent power produced by these panels. All panels come with a specification sticker on the rear of the panel. All solar panels stocked by us are manufactured using "A" Grade monocrystalline solar cells.

All of our folding/portable solar panel kits are for 12V battery charging.
There is no installation required remove from the box. Face the solar panel into the sun and hook the battery terminal leads to your 12V battery. It is that easy. Your battery is now being charged by the sun.

Flat panel installation can be done D.I.Y. or an auto electrician can be used.
There are many different ways to fix the panels to a surface. We advise glue and screw this will make sure you don't lose your panel on the road.

Solar panels require a regulator to convert the energy created by the solar panel into a usable current. There is a difference between a 12V and a 24V system and the correct regulator is required.
There are many different regulators on the market we have chosen ones which are easy to use/install and give the user information about their solar system.

Positive and negative wires from your solar panel hook into the regulator positive and negative terminal block (which is marked on the regulator).
There also is a two terminal outlet on the regulator where you connect another set of positive and negative wires. These wires then get connected to the positive and negative terminal posts on your battery.
Red = positive  Black = Negative.
The wires connecting to the battery can be attached by battery clips or terminals.
Some Regulators also have another wire connection block called "load". This connection can be used to connect a light or small appliance. Most can be set to turn a light on and off at set times. Refer to our manual which is provided with each regulator or checkout the online manual shown on each product page.
When installed correctly your regulator will maintain the charge in your battery.
Some small solar panels can charge your battery without a regulator as they put such a small charge into your battery. Milliamps are created by these panels. All solar panels which we sell we recommend a regulator. 1 milliampere = .001 of an amp. our smallest panel produces .55 of an amp. These small panels are great to maintain an electric fence battery.
A regulator will stop charging when your battery is fully charged and start again automatically when the battery voltage is below a preset parameter.
Quality wire should always be used when installing Solar Panels.

To secure mounting blocks to your roof Sikaflex-252  or equivalent should be used and all instructions given in this document should be carried out in full.

Installation Advice for ABS Mounting Brackets
Clean all surface where installation is to take place.
When installing the ABS brackets place the brackets and the solar panel on the surface where the installation will take place. Move the brackets and solar panel around until you find a sound level area. Mark where the side ABS brackets are to be fixed to the solar panel.
Mark where the brackets will sit on the mounting surface.
Remove the brackets and the solar panel from the installation area.
Attach the ABS brackets to the solar panel by drilling a hole towards the lower part of the recessed area of the ABS bracket and into the side of the aluminium frame of the solar panel. Using a self taping screw (not included) attach the ABS bracket to the frame of the solar panel.
After all brackets are installed to the solar panel follow Sikaflex's sikaflex-252 installation instructions.
Place the solar panel with the attached ABS brackets on the surface where it is to be fixed using your previously marked positions. Press downwards to ensure the Sikaflex-252 touches the fixing surface under each bracket.
